Soft, easy honey ginger naan recipe made with yogurt dough and a warm honey ginger butter finish. No tandoor needed, ready in 90 minutes.

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon instant yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup plain yogurt

1/2 cup warm water

2 tablespoons raw honey, divided

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, finely grated

Instructions

1. Whisk together flour, yeast, and salt, then mix in warm water, yogurt, 1 tablespoon honey, and olive oil to form a dough.

2. Knead for 5 minutes, then let rise covered in a warm spot for at least 1 hour.

3. Divide into 6 pieces and roll each into a quarter-inch thick oval.

4. Cook each naan in a very hot dry skillet for 1 to 2 minutes per side until bubbled and golden.

5. Brush warm naan with a mixture of melted butter, remaining honey, and grated ginger.

Notes

Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 2 days.

Freeze wrapped individually for up to 2 months and reheat in a dry skillet.
